Axiom is a  Drum Corps International, SoundSport® activity. SoundSport is the lowest tier of the "professional" marching groups that will perform at the Alamodome in San Antonio at DCI Southwest on July 18th, 2026.

 

Axiom will be performing with the best marching bands in the world.

Your student will be expected to attend as many rehearsals as possible between June 22nd and July 17, including mandatory attendance at the July 18th performance. Each rehearsal will be from 1pm to 6pm at a church in north Austin*. Students will be expected to find their own transport to and from the rehearsal location.

 

Each brass student must have their own instrument and AXIOM will not be able to provide them; if your student required help obtaining one we may be able to assist. Students will be transported to the Alamodome on a bus but there will not be room for parents, so please plan on providing your own transportation to the event.

At DCI Southwest your student will likely perform first. We will leave early in the morning, arrive mid-morning, then have a light meal before warming up and performing around noon (exact time to be determined).

 

The uniform for the performance is black dress pants, black socks, black shoes, and AXIOM shirt. After the performance all students will get a wristband for DCI Southwest that will allow them to watch the show but they will not be provided seats. However they may sit in any unoccupied seat until someone kicks them out. Unfortunately we will not be able to provide any tickets or wrist bands to any parents and any attending parents will have to buy their own tickets.

 

During the competition the students may leave the building only if they check out with a director and are with a parent. In the intermission before the world class corps we will eat dinner then all students must be back and watch all the World Class corps. After the last Corp play we will load back onto the bus and drive back to the church that we practice at to go home. You will have 30 mins to get your student from the church before the directors leave.

Our tuition for this season is $400, which covers everything from shirts to salary's to buses. Our front ensemble alone cost upwards of $1,000 to rent and the bus for the day for DCI Southwest will cost around $2,000. We also have almost $1,000 in fees for everything from musical adjudication to our website not to mention our practice space.

 

We are happy to offer monthly payment and, if needed, you can apply to our financial aid program which will hopefully allow anyone that wants to to join our program to perform in one of the best marching band venues in the world.
